According to the 1938-39 Ford book the dash and interior trim of my '38 DeLuxe Fordor should be woodgrain. My '38 interior trim colour is sortof a battleship greenish gray. What is correct? I am trying to determine how true to original the car is. A frame off was completed sometime between 1998 and 2002. I am the second owner since the restoration. Ray

Having a frame off car does not always mean it was correctly restored. The 38-39 Book had extensive research and review before it was printed. The book is correct regarding the wood graining.

I fully understand that just because a frame off was completed the car may not be correct. As I continue to go over the car I discover more and more about the car. Just trying to determine was is accurate and what is not. Thanks for the clarification as to the interior trim colour. Ray
