on initial start my 1941 Ford starts right up, but after warming up it won't start til it's cooled down. Where should I start to correct this ?

check your spark--should jump an arc of 1/2" and be blue in color. flatheads are notorious vapor lockers--never touch the gas pedal with a warm engine start--try to start and then if necessary open throttle just a little. if you have good spark, and are not flooding out engine then look for a gas leak from the power valve that is flooding engine. let us know what you find

Our 38 was the same way, tried replacing everything,didn't help, finally called Dick Flynn, he asked what coil I was using, I'm using a 59-ab distributor with a round coil, then he asked if I was still using the resistor under the dash, I was, he said to by-pass it by putting both wires on same side, this puts 6 volts to the coil, the round coil needs 6 volts, the other ones much less,,this has been quite a while back, it has never failed to start since....no point problems
