Has any one taken the stearing box out of a 32 pickup with the original V8? And if you have, what did you have to do with the engine in order to get clearince to remove the stearing box?

As I recall, (it's been 50 years), all I did was pull the steering wheel,and woodruff key,un-clamp the column from the box, remove the pitman arm, and pull the box and steering shaft down and forward. This was over a service pit, so there was lots of room. A service hoist would have worked as well.
