Got a bud restoring his '34 pickup and got stuck on what the books are calling "sodium tallow soap" to lube his u-joints. Anybody got an idea of something modern he can pick up that will do the trick?

We use Mystik JT-6 grease for u-joints. It is a sticky waterproof grease that will not "hollow out" or emulsify with the usual transmission oil that escapes into the u-'joint chamber. If starting from dry, plan to pump in about two tubes.
