Topic: 36 Ford Trico Wiper Motor

On ebay, I see both KSB 314-2 and KSB 263-3 part numbers as being for the 1936 Ford truck. They look identical, or nearly so.

Anybody know the right one for the truck?

Neither of those numbers match the Ford part numbers. According to the "green book", the wiper motors were the same for '36 cars and trucks. Vacuum wiper motors tend to seem identical, but are not. I wouldn't order any from anyone until you can verify that they are correct.

Thanks for the advice Supereal. My truck didn't have a wiper motor, or I would take it to a local guy in Zillah, WA who rebuilds them. I just want to get one that fits in the space and will work. Perhaps the rebuilder can point me in the right direction.

Most wiper motor rebuilder can furnish the correct type. Try Ficken. The number I have in my files is 516/587.3332. C&G offers a "universal" six volt wiper motor for the 32-36 pickup, A-17508-6V, $50. That is considerably less expensive than most vacuum motors, and more efficient.

I've seen the Ficken website & will check in with them and C&G on the 6V electric option. Thanks again.

Zillah Wa... ? Isn't that where Kent Jaquith used to live? Kent has been in Oregon for a few years now:

You may be correct that Kent Jaquith was once in Zillah, but I was referring to Rowland's Antique Auto Parts, PO Box 387, 521 Schooley Rd, Zillah, WA 509-829-5026. They have a current ad in Hemming Motor News.

Hard to believe there would be two different wiper rebuilders in Zillah, which isn't a big place. Perhaps there is a connection between the two.
