I am trying to locate a correct rear view mirror for my 41 panel. I have a couple I purchased off the net that do not fit. I have lit. and photos from Ford Archives showing this option to be available. I am guessing that it would be the same as the 40-41 pickups but maybe not. Any ideas guys? Mark

Hi, I assume that you are talking about an inside cab rear view mirror and "if" they are the same a 1946 I think they may have been an option only. The 46pickups came with a driver outside mirror only and I think it was rare at the time to have anything more than that because of supply issues. I have an inside mirror in my 1946 that was fairly easy to find and I do think it was an option but a fairly rare one. I suspect though in retrospect that a panel must have had either a passenger mirror as well and/or a inside mirror, the visability to the rear is limited as you well know!

Thank you. I have several photographs from the Archives showing the rear view mirror and I know that they are rare. With luck some one will have one. My panel did have one mirror with arm on the drivers door, I found an original arm for the other side but I will still like to find the rear view for the cab for added safety. I have bought 2 off on line that are similar but neither fit correctly. One was supposedly off of a later 40's truck.
