I have a VIN F1R2KC13907 for a 52 F-1 Pickup trying to find a build sheet on the truck

This should tell you most of what you are looking for.

F1R2KC13907 Sorry photo came out lopsided.

F1 Conventional 1/2 ton, R=8 cylinder 239 cu.in., 2= 1952, KC= Kansas City Plant, and I believe the rest of the numbers are just factory internal production codes, but I could be incorrect about that. The rest of the info on your truck is on the glovebox VIN plate which was a first that 52 trucks had. The color code, rear axle ratio are listed separately. I've found a lot of the color codes are incorrect for whatever reason. 52 trucks also did not have a firewall data plate but did have the holes for the data plates. A lot of restorations you'll find including mine, include the available reproduction data plates which look cool, but technically aren't correct.
P.S.
Just learned on another forum, FTE, that the numbers on the VIN that follow the plant code are consecutive unit numbers that started at 10,001 at each plant. I assume that is for any and all trucks only. There is another number located on your glove box VIN tag called a production number that will have a date code at the beginning of the number. Month Codes should be correct for both years. But Im not clear as some people said there was a 2nd year date code that was lettered starting beyond M.
