I have some older exhaust hangers from a Ford dealership and they are stamped metal and unpainted.

I’m not sure what the factory correct finish would be. But when I replaced my entire exhaust system on my 52 f1 , I used a stock stainless steel one, and I had the hangers cerakote-d; to obviously prevent rust and match the SS exhaust system. I used a silver color that was available but I don’t think you could go wrong with black satin either. My guess is they might have been cad-plated, or just gray primer dipped but that’s only an assumption. P.S. and I just noticed on your posted picture, that your oil filler tube should be painted black like the cap, not red. Looks great! This message was edited by 52flthed on 1-2-24 @ 8:40 PM
