Topic: Engine ID tag

I recently purchased a '41 Pickup chassis and engine. The engine has a 'raised intake' block and looks to be correct for a '41.
I've included photo's of an engine ID tag located just below the generator mount.
Is this common on factory original engines or does it signify remanufacture/service replacement?

Sadly, this truck was a total loss from a warehouse fire back in January which will explain the condition seen in the photos.

  That's a rebuilder's tag.

You might do some research on how your engine and chassis has been annealed by the fire. There should be a method of hardening the iron & steel to original specs?

Thanks Alan. This was a package deal and I've no plans currently for the frame and axles. I definitely would be wary of the affects of the fire on them.
The engine caught my attention as one that could replace the 59AB currently in my '41. I consider it a core that will need to checked carefully.
