Can we shim a front axle to help correct "camber"?

The way to correct camber on a solid front axle is to bend the axle to bring it into the proper specification.

Early Fords had but one adjustable on the suspension, that being toe in. If your camber or caster is out, you’re likely to have had a collision with a locomotive. Alan
