Topic: Sourcing 1941 Ford Mayfair Maroon Touch Up Paint?

Occaswright    -- 04-22-2023 @ 6:10 PM
I'm looking for advice on selecting a source for the one-year 1941 Ford truck Mayfair Maroon color touch up paint, preferably as acrylic enamel or lacquer. Only a few ounces are needed.
I've found several sources on the Internet (2 oz bottles, spray cans, etc), but someone who has successfully matched and applied a sourced paint would be most helpful.
I've tried working with our local paint store without much success. Their expectations are for much more paint to be purchased. Paint is not my expertise, so any advice is appreciated.

Are just touching up rock chips, etc? if so find a pinstriper who can mix you a small pint or half pint can for touch up/ Most are very good at matching paint. This is what I have done to touch up small chips on my 40 Fords. both are the Cloudmist Gray and both my cars are not the exact same shade of the color. Had a pinstriper mix a half pint can for each car.
