I'm replacing the painted headlight trim rings on my 46 PU Truck with stainless rings, but running into a problem trying to remove the existing rings. Once the retainer screw is removed the ring will turn left or right freely, but will not come off. Not sure if I should pry the ring off, or what? Any ideas?

Push upward with the palm of your hand and it should snap off.

Got 'em Trjford8! The first one gave me a little trouble, real tight tolerances! But once I saw what I was up against underneath there was no problem. Actually, the stainless steel rings installed easier. Thanks for the HELP!
