Topic: Starter button wiring 1936 1/2 ton

Getting to the point where the pieces are coming together and I have found that I have an issue with the battery cable and the starter switch that is located between the clutch and brake pedals.
In the attached pictures, you see the photo as how I now have the battery cable attached to the clutch side. When depressing the clutch pedal, the clutch shaft hits the cable connection on the starter switch. I have the starter cable connected to the brake pedal side.
In the second photo, it shows the battery cable connected to the brake pedal side.

So, which is correct?
The battery cable is an excellent NOS 27 1/2 inch, part number 48-14300 cable with the 90 degree connector. The starter cable has the straight connections and would be a 'stretch' to connect to the clutch pedal side of the starter switch.

No one has a suggestion or answer?

Bruce, I looked at the wiring diagram on Van Pelts site and it looks like the battery cable should connect to the clutch side of the switch. The only suggestion that I have is that the floorboards may lower the clutch pedal enough so that it will not contact the cable.

My other suggestion is to give Don Rogers a call and ask his advice.
