Topic: Ford 6 Cylinder 2GA Engine

I have a 1941 Ford pickup 2GA 6 Cylinder engine that needs a starter and I wonder if a starter from a V8 engine around the same years would match the bell housing on my 6 Cylinder engine?

The starter for the 1941 6 cylinder engine is the same as for the V-8 Engine for 1932-1948. The correct starter will have a thick rear (near the drive) housing. It should be left natural (unpainted) to get a good ground when mounted. The bell housing mating surface should also be clean and free of paint.
