Hi i am from australia and have a 1942-47 truck front cab and 59a motor no gear box and the only numbers we can find are 3C42759F these just wondering if someone could help identify it and if i could get a vin number to register it in australia

That looks like a Canadian number, but I am not familiar enough with truck placement of serial numbers and I understand that the Canadian numbers may be placed in different areas than the USA trucks. I would check with one of the 4 Australian Groups of the Early Ford V-8 Club for information on where the numbers that you need can be found. Click on Regional Club Directory on the left side of your screen, then scroll down to Australia and click on it, you should see the contact information for the 4 groups. Tom
