Topic: 1934 Ford Model B Pickup

mjmarcos    -- 01-11-2019 @ 8:52 AM
My Father and I just purchased a 1934 Ford Model B Pick up. I am new to these old trucks and wanted to see if you all could guide me in the right direction on what must have manuals I would need and any other restoration manuals or books that would help educate me on the project we are going to start. Any suggestions would be helpful. The truck is partially restored but needs to be put back together painted and such.

First purchase the clubs book on the 1934, https://shop.efv8.org/collections/ford-books/products/1933-1934-ford-book-softbound It is mostly oriented towards passenger vehicles but your truck is on a passenger car chassis and a lot is common.

Add your general location and email to your profile, you can never tell when it will pay off.

Post your questions, there is a lot of knowledge here.

Just something you may or may not be interested in. There is somebody working on a high compression head for the '32-'34 4 cylinder Fords. Go to https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/new-banger-block-in-the-works.616056/page-17#post-12903831 and to post #497 I am following his work with a great deal of interest.

Again, put your general location and email in your profile.

A couple of resources you might find useful. First Mack Products, they specialize in truck parts, http://www.liftredirect.com . Second Renner's corner, they specialize in Model B parts (especially engine), http://www.rennerscorner.com/index.html , (734) 428-8424

Good Luck
