I would like to install an Auto Meter brand temperature gage in my F-1. It's a mechanical gage that uses an ether filled tube. Where can I hook it up on a flathead Ford V-8? I'm thinking maybe I can screw it into the passenger side head next to the actual V-8 temperature sending unit, but I'm not sure. Anyone had experience with this?

Yes, that is a good place to sense engine coolant temperature.
