I have been told to upgrade the internals in my 1933 v8 distributor if I want my car to run properly? Is this true? With using 1933 internals in my distributor cause my engine to run badly? Advice..

No, using the 1933 distributor internals will not make your car run badly. The 1941 advance mechanism provides more advance than the 1933 distributor, but it is not necessary for previous models to run good. Tom
