I agree that it is a nice truck but I think that you should keep the patina. It just looks so awesome that way. Check the LINKS tab for vendors of parts. Thanks for the comments. Yes, I am keeping the patina exactly. No work other than preserving. I am only going to get the mechanials in good shape. It does run, drive, stop . Any ideas on preserving the pantina is welcome!

Stating the most simple and obvious - environmentally controlled garage, no windows/direct sunlight, don't drive it in humid conditions. Beyond that, not being a body/paint guy (just a novice wrench) I'd reach out to several quality restoration or paint or rat rod shops (e.g., Discovery Channel's Vegas Rat Rods) and ask them if some clear, UV resistant coatings exist to stay the patina where it is and preserve it for posterity. My limited understanding is that a UV-containing satin clear coat is usually used for this purpose - let the experts confirm or reject though - no personal experience here. Steve
