Hi,can anyone help with the correct color and or finish for the interior window trim pcs on a 1940 mercury coupe and also the heater body color.Thanks Ken

The correct window molding finish is straight grain oak. You may be able to find the base color on the back side of a molding. It is a light tan color with more yellow than brown. The grain is a dark brown color. The heater body color is the same as the Ford, light gray. TCP Global has a formula for the heater color, but it sprayed out too dark for me, so I added some white to lighten the color to match the paint that was still on the heater. Mike Kubarth or Larry Caplan may have a formula that is closer to the original color. Here is a photo of an un-restored heater at the Early Ford V-8 Foundation Museum. Tom
