I'm rebuilding 1940 Mercury sedan Convertible and I need help with the rear door female dovetails, which are totally different than all other 1940 Mercury's. I would appreciate any help I can get solving this problem. Like how is it done, what are and where can I get the necessary parts needed. Pictures would be a great help. The only P/N of the female dovetail for the 4door convertible, shown in the body parts catalog, is 78-702570. That should be the same as the 1938 Tudor. Dan Krehbiel is the V-8 Club's Adviser for the 39-40 Mercury. He has a 4 door convertible, so I would contact him. Tom
