Topic: Engine Test Stand

I would like to test run a newly rebuilt and assembled V8-60 engine before installing it in the vehicle. Is anyone aware of a reasonably priced commercially available test stand? If so, please advise. Thank you.

The type of engine stand used for engine work is not suited or safe for running any engine. On the rare occasions when we want to do it, we use a wooden stand on the floor to support the engine on its mounts.. It isn't fancy, and you probably get the idea. Any radiator will work, but don't run the engine without coolant in it, or damage is likely.

This is an oldie! I was able to find an engine test stand that works great for this task. It is the Mighty Mount. See mightymountpro.com for more details.
