Topic: 48 monarch steering issue

Hello everyone, I inherited this 48 Monarch from my Uncle, Philip Wilson who was an avid member of 149. unfortunately dementia has hit him and in his foggy days he did more harm than good. the car starts and runs well, and is in great shape. the problem is that it it is much harder to turn one way than the other. I believe he may have bent something in the steering dragging the car with a tow strap when he didnt realize the parking brake was on. What should I be looking for in particular? I'm a car guy too, just with more modern stuff, and eager to learn

Check the tie rod and drag link. He may have wrapped the tow rope or chain around them rather than just the axle. If they are bent that would give you the problem you are experiencing.
