Topic: Correct 1941 voltage regulator

In my research there seems to be two different voltage regulators. Possibly two different manufacturers. Both were cadmium plated covers. The service booklet shows one with just three terminal names. The 1941 Mercury owners manual shows one with additional words on it. "Ford-Lincoln-Mercury" plus the colors of the wires to each terminal. I would say either one would be correct. There was a short bare braided wire that connected from the case ground terminal on the left end of the regulator to the left lower mounting screw.
