I am trying to figure out what I am missing on my 48 merc convertible. I set the old rear arm rest on the car and now I wonder what is supposed to be at the bottom. The arm rest does not reach the floor and leaves an unsightly hole. Anyone know what I am missing? A picture would be great.

You have the LH side metal trim plate on the RH side of the car. Switch the plates and you will be fine. The finished job should look like the attached photo. Bill Large blarge@comcast .net Contact me if you need more inf0
