Howdy, I have a Canadian friend who owns a 47 Mercury 1/2 pickup. He is looking for the linkage shaft from the THROTTLE knob thru the firewall hooking up to the carb, might you know anyone who has one for sale? He has a plate (3"x4") above/behind the drivers sun visor that is missing, anyone know what that plate is for or what i says?

I would try DENNIS CARPENTER , and other V8 VENDORS, all are in the V8 TIMES, a V8 CLUB MAGAZINE, well worth club subscription, he has a web site,, SELL REPRO parts and has a vast original parts, hope this helps 37Ragtopman

No vendors like Carpenter, Drake, etc have this part, I think it will have to come from someone with NOS or leftover OEM.... Thanks.
