  Hey all!

Major changes in my life now forces me to think, and rethink the future of my car...question to those of you who own or have an interest in a car like this...is there a market for this car in America? I will write more depending on the answers I get...btw...this is originally a Minnesota one owner car...I'm the second owner...original paint and dents...otherwise undergone a total mechanical overhaul...Thanks, Peder

Tried to send you a pm but you have it disabled. There is interest Peder - as the saying goes there's an a*# for every seat.

Peder, I am sorry to hear that you are going to sell your car. I hope that the changes in your life are positive.

Here is a link to the Old Cars Price Guide, it will give you an idea of USA prices.

Transportation and duty cost may take a big chunk out of the sales price, so you may do better trying to sell in in Europe or the Scandinavian countries.

Good luck with wwhat ever you end up doing.

Thanks Tom! Have not yet decided whether to sell or not...my "discussion" was meant as a "feeler"
...a sale to the U.S. would entangle a package deal...(shipping and all...)

My 46 Mercury has now gone into hibernation...and a lot of thoughts for the up and coming season arise...have been thinking about upgrading the suspension...to a McPherson...is this an "easy upgrade"? I want to keep my car as original as possible, but at the same time, I would like to make it into a "driver"...appreciate any thoughts here...

Peder, there are no easy suspension modifications. To install a modern suspension requires modifications to the frame and the body.

I have not done any of the modifications that you want to do, but several users on the HAMB have modified the Ford and Mercury chassis to accept a more modern suspension. It would be a good idea to read some of their posts and then post your own questions on that Forum. Here is a link to it.
