Has anyone found a source for this or what did you use? Mine is 3/4" tall x 1/2" wide covered bead. The tallest I can find is 9/16" That leaves a 3/16" gap below it.

Ar you talking about the glass run channel at the front and back of the door? It has been about 40 years since I did mine, so I am kind of fuzzy about what I did. I ordered the felt from Restoration Specialities and then cleaned the metal channel. Then I used weather strip adhesive to glue the new felt into the channel. http://www.restorationspecialties.com/ Tom

I used rubber strips behind mine. You can try Boos-Herrel as they have some stuff made for the Continental Coupes and the Mercury Coupe used some of the same trim parts. http://www.boos-herrel.com/id59.html When I did my car there were 5/8" deep channels available so I bought those and a rubber fill strip from Restoration Specialties. Pat Walsh advertises that he has parts for these cars. https://www.patwalshrestorations.net/ You can also contact the 39-41 Mercury Adviser to see if he has a solution to your problem. Let me know how you make out. Tom
