I have not test my top motors but would like to know where to go should they need rebuilding. Any advise, detaild drawings of operating (trouble shooting) would also be helpful.
tks, Jb

Any shop that repairs small DC motors can repair your motors. Some shops will just clean the commutator and install new brushes and bushings if needed. Others will want to rewind the armature and field coils to ensure a long lasting repair, so be sure that you check out what is their standard practice and the cost before you select a shop.

I don't have a good trouble shooting source for the top assembly. A good upholstery shop may be able to help and you can always come here to ask questions.

I suggest that you take multiple photos of the top assembly and all of its parts before removing any part. Store them in your computer with notes on what they are and any information that will help you reassemble the parts.
