Thanks for your offer to help. The 1941 Mercury is all by itself and anyone that has done a lot of research on the car would be a great help to someone trying to restore one. Keep watching this Forum and join in anytime that you can give an answer. Tom

Hi sq1954, I am trying to restore a 41 Mercury tudor sedan. Where I am getting stuck is in trying to find a source for the original interior. I've found the upholstery chart, but I can't seem to find a kit for the Broadcloth (M-16810-G), Sidewall Cloth (M-5076-L), Bedford Cord (M-5085-H) or Headlining Cloth (M-16906-H). I thought I had a good lead with the Cartouche interiors available from Mac's, but their selection does not represent original Mercury interiors. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Do any of you guys know that early merc's had a diff parking lites than the later ford lites ?? ken ct.

I do not know of any correct interior kits for the 1941 Mercury closed cars. You might try SMS fabrics for material close to the original pattern and have the seat covers made. There are firms that make headliner kits that would be close to the original. https://smsautofabrics.com/ Automotive Upholstery shops also have sample books where you might find something close. I doubt if any of the vendors that have commissioned reproductions for antique cars have done so for any year of Mercury. There just isn't the demand for the material. If you have samples of the original upholstery, try to match them rather than the chart samples. Tom

Is there a separate advisor for the 41 Merc listed in the v8 magazine? If not, there could be, or maybe be referred to by the current Merc advisor. I rescued all the extension parts for the front of a 41 Merc from a rodder i.e. radiator mounts etc. and some other small parts. If someone needs them, give me a call, let me know. 42oink

TomO, Sorry, I'm a 42 Ford guy. Just didn't want good parts getting trashed. I got the impression sq1954 was offering help to other v8ers, and was suggesting a route he might consider. Am I wrong, sq1954? 42oink

No need to be sorry. Your offer to help is appreciated, I just did not understand that you were replying to sq1954. He hasn't posted on the Forum for over a year. I hope someone sees your post and uses the parts to save a 41 Mercury. Tom
