  Will a generator bracket from a 1947 V-12 Lincoln fit a 1940 V-12 Lincoln?

Along as the belts are the same, I'd guess, yes.".

My guess is also a yes, but just to make sure, ask your question on the LZOC forum hosted by the AACA.

There were not many changes from the pre-WWII cars to the end of production. The biggest change was in 1942. They increased the bore size by 1/16", moved the fan from the crankshaft to a sub-mount on the generator bracket and introduced the automatic transmission.

In midyear1946 they went back to the 1940 bore.

The 1947 generator bracket should be like the 1940 bracket with the addition of the bolt holes to hold the fan bracket.

All H series V 12s had the fan mounted on the front of the crankshaft. The generator " bracket" is part of the generator the same as a for. In fast the 1940 to late 1947 Lincoln used the 1940 Ford generator.
