Does anyone know what the part # is for a NOS speedometer cable for a early 1940 Ford Coupe?

Not sure of the part number, but any decent speedo shop can reproduce a cable for you. Take the old cable and sheath with you for correct length of the new cable to insert into your original sheath. Alan

Fortyford, In response to your question: The speedometer cable part number is 99A-17262-B. The cable is 70" in overall length. The speedometer cable housing is part number 99A-17261-B and is 70.92" in overall length. I have yet to find a cable / housing assembly sold as a unit (OEM) and believe that the cable was sold separate as was the housing. A correct housing is encased within rubber sans approximately 4" at both the forward and rearward ends. Hope this helps, Mike "Kube" Kubarth
