Topic: Woodgrain pattern for '40 deluxe

Can anyone furnish a good picture of the correct woodgrain used on the '40 deluxe interior trim? I know that the '1940 Book' mentions a mahogany woodgrain, but have been unable to find a good example. Thanks.

Moldmaker, I would strongly suggest you get in touch with Jonathan at Honest Charley's. His number is 877-264-6044. He'd recently done four sets for me. Tell him I told you to call. He will then know you expect only the very best for your '40 Ford as he knows I insist upon. He was a wonderful person to deal with and did absolutely stunning work. The attention to detail and the duplication of the authentic pattern was second to no one. His prices were very fair as well and turnaround was quite prompt.
Here's a link to the FordBarn wherein my moldings were depicted.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Ken & Mike. You steered me in the right direction. Didn't realize there are so many different patterns and shades.

  Moldmaker,
There were only two patterns for 1940 Fords. And, although "shades" most certainly differed a bit, there was a specified color, etc. for the moldings.
To reiterate (in part) my earlier post, Honest Charley's NAILED both the so called "standard" (properly: Ford V8) model moldings as well as the deluxe model moldings.
Kind regards,
Mike
