I know that this has been posted before but I cannot find it. does the bolts that hold the wiper motor mount and the hand brake Assy. Get painted? Since the wiper motor mount is adjustable, wouldn't the wiper motor ,linkage, and wiper arm mounts be installed so it could be adjusted, therefore it would need to be done after the car was painted so as to not break paint on bolts? Also, what is the hole (louver) on the floorboard trans. Cover for?

thanks very much

The fasteners used to hold the wiper motor bracket to the instrument panel were installed prior to the car being painted. Thus, they are body color.
The fasteners used to hold the brake handle assembly to the instrumen6 panel are S7 (cadmium). As the handle assembly was installed after the car was painted, these fasteners remained in their natural, cadmium plated finish.
That vent on the transmission cover was vent and should be there. What purpose it truly served and how effective it was is anyone's guess. Still, it is correct.
