Topic: Grill sides/delux

I have what I think is an early Canadian 40 delux. The original side grill panels have wide areas where the trim goes on. Was this another "Canadian only" anomoly or are all early ones like that. Are there any repros like that? I have found a number of things that are not as the "books" on this car and maybe there was just differences in the Canadian made and the US made cars.

As far as the grille louvered sides go, these "wide" spaced pieces are typical of all early production '40 Fords. If memory serves, these were replaced with the later design in approximately November, 1939.
Along with this wide spaced grille would normally be stainless pieces that have squared off ends vs. the later 'arrow tip' ends.
I know of no reproductions of either the early grille nor the trim.
