Other than the hole for the shift lever tower, is there any difference between the floor pan for the '40 and the '39? Thanks. Ken

I suspect the 39 deluxe and the 40 pans are the same. My parts catalog shows 37-38 to be the same. It shows '39 to be a different part number than '40. Again the '39 standard uses the early firewall and the deluxe uses a firewall like a '40. The difference in the part number is parbably due to the trans hole in the 39 cover.

Thanks for the confirmation Tom. I'll pass this info along to the fellow that asked the question of others, and got conflicting answers. Ken

  Hey 39KEN,
In reality the front pans ('39 - '40) are NOT the same. You may use patch panels from Paul Bradley for either and they will work with some "placement".

The transmission cover has little to do with the floor pans as it is a separate piece that is scr*w*d to the floor pans.
Many have found that here too the length of the '39 transmission cover is a bit different (other than the hole for the shifter) in it is a bit longer than the '40 cover.
That's one clue to the pans being different between the two years.
