For some reason I keep getting air in the brake system on my 40?Everything is new and been replaced except the brake lines.I thought I would do that also.Seems to me like the system is drawing air back in from somewhere?The system has been bled more than I want to count and get a decent pedal but don't last long?Is there anyone that offers a brake line kit pre-bent to install? Thanks,Russell

Classic Tube in Lancaster NY has pre bent lines. I used their lines on my 42 and 46 Fords. Very minimal tweaking needed.

It may not be your brake lines. Unless you can see fluid leaking from a line, it more likely a bad seal in one or more cylinders. Check under the boots of the master cylinder and the wheel cylinders for signs of fluid. Ifr you see any fluid you have found a source for the air. If you don't see any fluid or dampness in the boots, bleed the brakes again. If air come out from only one cylinder, that is the bad one. If you have to bleed all of them to get a pedal, you probably have a bad master cylinder. Tom

Suggest adjusting the brake shoes with the upper adjusters so the shoes are fairly tight to the drums before bleeding. After readjust for a slight drag, then try the brakes.
