40 V8 Ford Tudor. Had reason to remove the rear seat bottom. Found the pictured tag hog-ringed to the underside. This car is a survivor. I think it has original upholstery. I'm curious about the tag. Who put it there? Any way to decode the numbers?

Jay, Those tags were on each and every cushion that left the assembly line. The number is the part number of that cushion. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

You can look for the part number (starts 01A ) in the body parts book and it will tell you what the original upholstery fabric was. The rest of the numbers, on the tag, are unknown.
