How many leafs should be on a stock front spring 85Hp 1940 Deluxe Business Coupe.I think mine have been changed,I counted 10?

Ten could have very well been what was installed at the factory. Ten was quite common. Nine leaf was also fairly common. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

It appears my u-bolts are short.I will try and get a photo tomorrow.This is what drew the attention.

10 leaf front spring 01A-5310-B was the standard for the 1940, Dlx, 85HP, Business Coupe. It used 48-5455-C Clip and 48-5458-A Bar. As Kube mentions the car could have had other front springs ordered.
