Topic: 1940 Ford Steering Box

I have a 1940 Ford Pick Up that is currently under construction. I also have a relatively complete 1940 Tudor that needs its steering box rebuilt. The steering box on the pick up was rebuilt not too long ago. Do you know if the two steering boxes are interchangeable? Can I use the pick up steering box in the Tudor?

Check the length of both steering tubes from where they mount on the box to the top of the tube. Also measure the location of the column bracket/lock from the bottom of the tube to the center of the bracket. If all the measurements are the same for both boxes then yes you can interchange them.

I know for a fact that the cars and the 1/2 ton pickups have a different length steering column. Been there done that.
