got my ford script battery and would like to see a picture of one with the ford oval painted if anyone has one

Take a look at page 3-27 of "It's Ford for "40". It has a picture that shows the battery with the front oval painted. Mike's excellent research states that the oval "was painted gold". I'm sure that one of our members has a color photo of the painted battery to share with you, and further details on the correct shade of gold paint to use. Tom

how do you paint the battery i have a printer ink roller i read somewhere that what to use what's your thoughts

I have heard a roller works well. I use a small brush with thinned paint. It flows out nicely. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Testor’s gold gave me a good result applied with a rubber printers / litho roller. I masked the outside edges of the roller and put a light coat of silicone on the recessed surfaces of the script letters for easy cleanup of any mistakes (none thanks to hard roller).

Testers gold and a small hobby rubber roller. No masking, no prep at all, just go for it, job is done before you think about it. Alan
