Topic: Hood Bumpers

Hello all - I am new to this club and forum. I am working on a '39 Deluxe which I purchased (less the hood). I was able to find and install a hood. I purchased (and received) a set of hood bumpers from Bob Drake and am now looking to install them on my hood. The bumpers are several different sizes and shapes. I was looking for some type of sketch, diagram or schematic to show where each of these bumpers belongs. Bob Drake was unable to provide this information. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the Club. Glad to have a new member here with us.

I am attaching pics of the hood bumpers on my '40 Ford V8, A.K.A."Standard". I believe the hood bumper placement on your '39 Deluxe will be the same as my '40 Standard.

Your Bob Drake kit has 14 pieces, 7 pieces for each side:
1 rectangular piece near front of hood
3 flat domed pieces along edge of hood
1 round piece in side of cowl
1 large truncated cone shaped piece for a large hole, next to the hood latch
1 smaller cone shaped piece for a small hole, in body brace in front of radiator

Edit: the sequence of pics got scrambled when this posted, so now does not follow sequence of text above. But I'm sure you can figure it out. Post again if you have other questions.
