I have two thta are close to the same but the outlet hole is slightly higher on one....which would be correct?....and yes both pumps have the wing shut off/ drain valve

The outlet should be about 3/16" or so lower than the inlet. The top cover should have NO "tabs". In other words, the lip is smooth all the way around. Mike "Kube" Kubarth
