Topic: 1936 dash bezel part #

big pete    -- 05-18-2020 @ 5:26 AM
Could someone tell me, or tell me where to find, the part number for the bezel that goes around the windshield crank handle on the dash of the ‘36 Standard. I have been looking for one and a old parts dealer said he needed the # to look in his stock. Thank You Pete

That would be in the Body Parts catalog. Contact the 35-36 Advisor, he may have the information.

Pete, I am 99% certain that part was not serviced. In other words, it was not offered separate from the instrument panel and as such there would be no part number to be found in a Ford parts book.
My guess is you are unlikely to find one.

An extremely hard item to find. Just keep advertising and you may get lucky.

Contact Third Gen Auto. or Southside Obsolete Ford I think your looking for 68-701590-B in Benton Gray or 68-701590-C in Chrome finish. They are a circular trim ring with 4 tabs to bend over and hold it to the dash.

40Coupe, Did you find that in a parts catalog? You are a better man than I....

It is great to see how misinformation gets corrected on this forum. I posted what I thought was a source for the P/N and was corrected by Kubes40 and 40 coupe. Good job guys.

Not me Tom. I was wrong in my response and was soon thereafter corrected. The only good thing for me? I learned something!
