Are all the 1940 car's front bare (less frame) seat bottom springs the same?

My answer is a qualified "no". The sedan cushions should exchange so the springs should be the same. The seat cushion for the coupe has its own P/N, so it may not have the same spring and the same goes fro the convertible. That said, the seats for all 40 Ford cars, except the convertible, are the same front to back and width, so the springs may fit. My sources are the Body parts catalog and The V-8 Album. Tom
