In the back doors of a Fordor, how does one separate the glass channel from the regulator other than drilling out those rollers? (as I call them) And if that's the case, can they be reused? Carl

There are slots (openings) in the track that allow the rollers to move out of. No need to drill or otherwise modify anything. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Your channels or regulator may have a stop bolt in them to prevent the rollers from coming out of the channel during norma operation. Here is a link to the glass removal procedure for 1940-1948 cars. http://vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/flathead_glassinstall-40-46_pg1.htm Tom

Can not find any position of the glass where the rollers will pass through the slots. Would think it'd be near the top. Also , no stop bolts in place. Thanks guys, Carl

The procedure that I sent a link to says to remove the link stud lock and then remove the studs from the channel. The drawing that is referred to, is not very clear, but there may be a hairpin clip on the studs. It would be inside the channel.
