Topic: Rear end swap

I own both a 40 ford convertible restored to original and a 40 pickup with original drive line. My convertible has a Columbia 2 speed. I want to swap the two so the Columbia is now on the truck. Can I just swap rear ends? I put way more hyw miles on the truck so the over drive would be rally nice.
Thanks

Each vehicle utilizes an identical "rear end". That is, the torque tube, radius rods, axle housings, gear housing, backing plates, drums, shocks, etc.

That being the case, a swap would be rather easy. I'd suggest you swap the entire assembly including the torque tube, rods, brakes, etc.
Do not swap the springs.

Only one thing to consider in my opinion and that is the ratio of the truck. Is it 4:11? If so, you may not like it in the convertible. If it's 3:78. it'll be great.
