Mike you are correct I only received a lug wrench with my original tool kit, and have since purchased the lug wrench with the female end for the crank extension. here is a correct wrench no. 01A-17017 with one side having an open end. This is early 40, mid to late had both ends boxed and a different no. This is a picture of a N.O.S. {wheel carrier] nut it has fine threads it's double thick and has a groove in the center to activate the lock. I also got an air pump with the car and it has a wooden handle and is in mint condition. When you lay all this stuff in the trunk at a show people kind of freak out. Domenic

  Domenic,
The nut for the spare is "stock" whether equipped with a lock or not.

Mike - MR. Norman R. Runk who has this total original 1940 ford coupe, except for the repainting of the rear fenders, is in the Early Ford V-8 club and is a real nice guy. I am going to get my son with his fancy phone to help me post some pictures of various areas and parts for this particular car. I have his contact info. I believe that trunk board with the number is original to that car.You just would have to see the whole car and take it all in. The seats ,headliner ,door panels ect. are in amazing original condition for almost 80 years old. Even the original trunk mat dose not have any cracks or splits in it, he said that they always kept it covered with a special blanket. who dose that? For this particular model to have survived to this extent is amazing. Domenic
