Rebuilt the Fordomatic during resto of my 53 sunliner. works fine, but-when starting off from dead stop, or after slowing down sufficiently for intermediate gear (in drive) to kick in, I get a chirp and slight hesitation in acceleration. Thinking it is one of the bands slipping, as the clutches are totally in fluid. Is there a simple way to figure this our or do I need to find an "old" transmission guy? thanks, John wells

If you google "Fordomatic you'll get a wealth of info. Found one company who makes/sells rebuilding kits. Think he has a question/answer forum, and if not, he'd probably answer your questions.
