Does anyone know what the part # is for a NOS speedometer cable for a early 1940 Ford Coupe?

Not sure of the part number, but any decent speedo shop can reproduce a cable for you. Take the old cable and sheath with you for correct length of the new cable to insert into your original sheath.

Fortyford, In response to your question: The speedometer cable part number is 99A-17262-B. The cable is 70" in overall length. The speedometer cable housing is part number 99A-17261-B and is 70.92" in overall length. I have yet to find a cable / housing assembly sold as a unit (OEM) and believe that the cable was sold separate as was the housing. A correct housing is encased within rubber sans approximately 4" at both the forward and rearward ends. Hope this helps, Mike "Kube" Kubarth
